Need help with ShotArc? Browse the frequently asked questions below, or reach out to our support team directly — we usually respond within 48 hours.
ShotArc follows the ball frame by frame in your video. It spots every touch, draws the ball's path, and measures your rhythm, interval, and shot speed. Tracking is processed on your device, and your videos aren't uploaded to our servers.
Prop your phone upright on something steady, roughly 2–4 metres away, so your whole body and the ball's full height are in frame. Film in good, even light, avoid bright sun or windows directly behind you, and use a ball that stands out from the background.
Keep the phone still — a tripod or a bag works well. Filming from the side gives the most reliable speed reading, because the ball travels across the frame instead of straight towards the camera. Make sure the ball stays visible from the strike until it reaches the goal or target.
Missed touches usually happen when the ball leaves the frame, the light is low, the camera moves, or the ball blends into the background. Step back a little, keep the phone fixed, and train somewhere brighter for the best count.
Touches is the number of times you hit the ball without it dropping. Rhythm is how many touches you make per minute. Interval is the average time between touches — a steady interval means a smooth, controlled juggle.
Shot speed and ball height are estimates based on how the ball moves through your video. Camera angle, distance, frame rate, and lighting all affect the result, so treat them as a fun training guide rather than a radar-gun reading.
Yes. On the Home tab, tap Import a video and choose a clip from your library. ShotArc will track it just like a clip you recorded in the app.
Open a clip and tap Customize. You can change the Ball skin, Effects, Trail, Counter style, Graph, and Camera moves. Tap Shuffle to try a random combo, or use the undo button to step back a change.
Tap the download button at the top right of any clip. The finished video, with all your effects, is saved to your Photos so you can share it anywhere.
Progress shows your all-time top speed and which shot set it, plus your total sessions, touches, and current streak. Personal Bests track your best score, most touches, and other records as you keep training.
Check that ShotArc has camera access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera. Close any other app using the camera, then restart ShotArc. If it still doesn't work, contact us with your device model and iOS version.
ShotArc needs photo library access for both. Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → ShotArc and choose Full Access, or make sure the clip you want is included in your selected photos.
Just a ball, your phone, and some open space. A small tripod or phone stand helps keep the camera steady, which gives you better tracking.
Train in an open space away from roads, windows, people, pets, and anything breakable. Warm up before you start, stay hydrated, and stop if you feel pain. If you have an injury or health condition, check with a doctor first. ShotArc is a training aid, not medical advice.
