ShotArc · Ball Tracking App
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 24, 2026
Last Updated: October 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the ShotArc mobile application ("Application"),
available on iOS, developed by the ShotArc Team. By using the Application, you
agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information Collection and Use
The Application may collect certain information automatically when you
download and use it, including:
- Your device model and operating system version
- Usage data (features used, screens viewed, session duration)
- App settings and preferences
- Crash reports and diagnostic data for app stability
Session & Personal Data You Provide
What We Collect
- Your name or display name and profile details shown in the app
- Videos you record in the app or import from your photo library
- Session data, such as touches, rhythm, interval, shot speed, ball height, ball-motion graphs, and scores
- Progress stats, such as sessions, total touches, streaks, all-time top speed, and personal bests
- Your clip customizations, such as ball skins, effects, trails, counter styles, and graphs
- Subscription and account information
- Feedback or support messages you send us
How We Use This Data
- To detect and follow the ball in your videos, count touches, and measure rhythm and interval
- To estimate shot speed and ball height for Power Shot clips
- To draw the effects, trails, counters, and graphs you choose onto your clips
- To save your clips to your Library and export them when you tap download
- To calculate your streaks and personal bests and show your progress over time
- To save your personal settings and preferences
- To improve app performance and feature quality
- To troubleshoot technical issues and enhance the user experience
- To process and manage your subscription
Camera, Videos & Photo Library
Your videos stay on your device. ShotArc asks for camera access so
you can film juggling sessions and power shots, and photo library access so you can
import a clip or save an edited video. You can change either permission at any time
in iOS Settings.
- Ball tracking is processed on your device
- Videos you record or import are stored in the app's Library on your device — we do not upload them to our servers
- ShotArc only reads the clips you choose to import, and only saves to your Photos when you tap download
- Only the results — such as touch counts, speeds, and scores — are kept with your session stats
- Your videos are never sold, shared, or used for advertising
- Your videos are not used for facial recognition or to identify you
Microphone & Audio
If you allow microphone access, ShotArc may record sound along with your clips so your
exported videos include audio. That audio stays with the video on your device and is
not uploaded or analysed. You can turn microphone access off in iOS Settings at any
time, and clips will record without sound.
Sharing Your Clips
You decide what gets shared. ShotArc never posts anything for you.
When you save a clip and share it to social media or messaging apps, that platform's
own privacy policy applies. If other people appear in your videos, please make sure
they're happy to be filmed and shared.
Your Training Data Is Private
We keep your data focused on your training. Your session stats and progress are:
- Stored on your device and on our secure servers to sync your progress
- Encrypted in transit
- Never sold to third parties
- Never shared with employers, insurers, or advertisers
- Deletable at any time by contacting support
Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services to help operate and improve the application. These services
may have access to anonymized or aggregated data only, except where needed to provide the
specific service listed. None of them receive your videos.
The Application uses the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat (for subscription management)
- Apple Analytics / Firebase (for app performance monitoring)
- Crashlytics (for stability reporting and bug tracking)

Data Storage and Security
Local & Cloud Storage
- Your videos and clip customizations are stored locally on your device.
- Your session stats, progress, and preferences are stored on your device and synced to our servers so your progress carries over.
- We do not sell your personal or training data to third parties.
- All data transmissions are encrypted using industry-standard protocols (TLS 1.3).
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration,
or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is
100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Opt-Out Rights
You may stop data collection at any time by:
- Disabling camera access in iOS Settings (in-app recording will stop working)
- Disabling photo library access in iOS Settings (importing and saving clips will stop working)
- Disabling analytics in the app settings
- Uninstalling the application from your device
- Requesting account and data deletion via support (email below)
Data Retention
We retain your data as long as you use the app. Deleting a clip from your Library removes
it from the app. If you delete the app, local data — including videos in your Library that
you haven't saved to Photos — is removed from your device. Data synced to our servers is kept
until you request deletion by contacting support. Subscription data is retained by Apple for
billing history in accordance with its policies.
Age Restrictions
Age Requirement: ShotArc is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do
not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you
believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will
take steps to delete such information.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access to your personal data and session history
- Correction of inaccurate data, including your display name
- Deletion of your data (including stats, scores, and personal bests)
- Objection to data processing
- Data portability (a copy of your session history on request)
- Restriction of processing
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address below.
International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure
appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy
and applicable laws.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy
Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to
delete personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. We
do not sell personal information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page
with an updated "Last Updated" date. For significant changes affecting how we use your camera,
videos, or training data, we will notify you through the app.
